Hey guys, I hope you are doing well, and having a good day or night… as you some of you might know, I’ve always struggled with productivity and prioritizing my work and tasks, which made me go into a deep slump and rut of procrastination and NOT getting things done on TIME.
Thankfully, I discovered a good way to prioritize and get more work done, and I will tell you all about it today;
1.. WRITE DOWN YOUR IMPORTANT TASKS THAT MUST BE DONE
This is the most important step in order to succeed and get your work done, write in piece of paper all the tasks that you must get done; wither it is studying for an exam, or starting a blog, or buying grocery or event decluttering your house, brain dump EVERY TASK on that piece of paper.
2.. USE THE EISENHOWER MATRIX TO SELECT
I know that it is important for you to get ALL YOUR TASKS done! But you must select, which are the :
URGENT: the tasks that must be done AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, it can be preparing an asseignement or an exam that is coming by next week, or else …
NOT URGENT: which are the tasks that you can do later, like making lunch or grocery shopping or decluttering the house.
NOT IMPORTANT BUT URGENT: which are the tasks that you should DELEGATE, meaning that you can ask someone else to do it, it this case it can be shopping for grocery or preparing your meal, or paying a bill.
NOT IMPORTANT AND NOT URGENT: the tasks that you don’t have to worry about, and do them when you finish what’s urgent and after a quick rest.
This method is VERY effective, and will make your work more efficient.
3.. START WITH THE TASK THAT WILL TAKE MOST OF YOUR EFFORT
Usually it is the urgent ANA important task, so make sure to time block, and give it most of your time and focus to do it properly.
4.. SCHEDUALE THE MOST IMPORTANT TASK AT THE PEAK OF YOUR
PRODUCTIVITY
If you are a morning person, make sure to schedule your important tasks early in the morning, 2hours after you wake up.
If you’re a night owl and you prefer working at night, schedule your task at night.
5.. TAKE A 10 MINUTE REST AFTER EACH 30MINUTES OF WORK
Resting up your mind will likely help you stay more focused, and keeps your mind sharp and efficient.
6.. 05 TASKS PER DAY ARE BETTER THAN 100.
You don’t have to be busy in order to feel that you are productive, set 5 tasks for the day and classify them in the EISENHOWER MATRIX and get them done it might motivate you to do MORE and MORE!
