Hey guys, I hope y'all are doing well ! so today I wanted to discuss a very common subject ! and a very controvertial one ! what is meditation and how can you do it and IF you should do it ??
So, first of all; Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
And there are different types of meditation, but the most important ones that can help you daily are , the mindfulness meditation which is the process of being fully present with your thoughts, the guided meditation aaand the Yoga meditation.
Now you may be asking yourself; should I meditate ? and how can I do it ??
Did you know that meditation can reduce blood pressure, both in the short term and later in life; all that by decreasing psychological stress and increasing coping ability, blood pressure decreases, helping you pursue a healthier life.
And that is the reason why you should meditate !
How to do it you might ask ?
There are plenty of ways to do it, there are hundreds of videos that can help you by the guided meditation technic, you just need a safe space, calm and relaxing; surrounded by clean good smells and wearing a comfortable outfit.
The best time to meditate :
Before breakfast is generally a good time to meditate; but for beginners, especially folks who are feeling stressed out, meditating at all can be daunting. In that case, I recommend simply putting your attention on slower, deeper breathing—even for just five minutes—early in the day before getting busy with anything.
It is not halal nor haram ! you don't have to do what others do, just have a critical thinking mindset and try to extract the best of the situation make it work for you, and personally it helped me a lot during some hardest time.
